A
properly designed and installed distributed paging system is one of the
most economical and immediate ways to contact groups of employees.
Systems can be 'zoned' so that certain messages are heard on the
production floor without interrupting office personnel. Priority
messages (i.e. weather alerts) can be accomplished on an 'all-call'
basis. Digital announcement equipment will release pre-recorded
messages at the same time each day. These messages can be easily
re-recorded and
rescheduled from any touch-tone telephone. Digital feedback eliminators
allow a 'real time' message to
be 'dumped' before it is released into the system to avoid the
embarrassment of a mistake during an announcement. Accessing the
system can be accomplished through any on-site telephone (assuming the
person knows the secure phone number). A back-up microphone can be
provided in the event the telephone switch becomes inoperable. Optional
background music sources can be routed to designated office areas.
